Prickly Pear

In only a few years producer Prickly Pear has quickly developed into one of the few hip hop artists who carries a accomplished resume and is followed with widely-held optimism about what he can bring as one of the modern hip hop movement. Now 27 years old Prickly Pear, was born and raised in Mannheim/Germany. He started in the early 90′s to collect records from Funk, Soul, Afro, Rock, Jazz to Fusion. After a couple of years Prickly Pear begin to make mixtapes on M-Pire Records and started DJing at diffrent events and jams. His first contact with beatmaking was his friendship with Jelly Jam (a member of Knightz of bass and Funk mastermind). Prickly Pear started with a Boss Dr – 303, a tapedeck and his steady growin record collection. Around 2003-04 Prickly Pear & Friends create a Record label which is called “Highsteppin Records”. Prickly Pear instantly became one of the ambassadors. He’s placed beats on projects by God Free, Kept See, Don D, We Move, The Coffee Shop with Jinesis, Stockholmsyndromet, Craig G (Juice Crew). Prickly Pear has teamed with Grand Agent who have a full length album “Gettin away with murders” sheduled for release in early 2009 on Soulspazm Records. Prickly Pear is still growing as an artist, but feels that hip hop music as a genre still has room to grow. Feel The Music. Because Music Is Love And Thats What it’s All About. One Love !!!
